Rolling curtain overhead doors are manufactured by Roll-Lite? Overhead Doors or comparable manufacturers. ASI Standard roll doors are not wind rated and are White, rope pull.

CURTAINS--ALL MODELS

Curtains (all models) are roll-formed, hot-dipped galvanized (G-90 Minimum Sprangle) .022 steel (Grade A LFQ) prepainted with (1) coat of Polyester over primer on finish side and (1) coat of wash white backer over primer over reverse side.

HARDWARE--ALL MODELS

Doors (all models) are furnished with cast iron axle saddle and keeper plates to securely lock axle in place. Doors are furnished with lift clips slide bolts at both corners. Slide bolts are constructed from .168 hot-dipped galvanized steel.

OPERATION--ALL MODELS

Doors (all models) up to 100 sq. ft. manually operate; pull rope is provided. Doors above 100 sq. ft. are furnished with a 4:1 chain reduction drive and an extended mounting bracket, either right or left hand as specified. Reduced drive for manual size is optional. Electric operation is optional for all sizes.

BARREL ASSEMBLY--ALL MODELS

Drums (all models) are constructed of .051 hot-dipped galvanized G-60 (Type CQ steel). All drums are provided with ball bearings. Ball bearings have hardened inner and outer races. Top sheets are hot-dipped galvanized (G-60 Minimum Spangle) .019 steel (Grade A LFQ). Axles are 1-5/16" O.D. x .109 wall steel pipe. Torsion springs are MB grade oil tempered.

WINDLOCKS--MODEL 650

Windlocks (available on Model 650 only) are formed and stamped from heavy 10 gauge galvanized steel. Windlocks are riveted to each corrugation of the curtain assembly.

HINGED DOORS

Standard hinged doors shall be 3'0" x 7'0" x 1-3/4" non-handed, single swing, flush panel or half glass unglazed honey comb core, metal doors.

Doors shall be bonderized and furnished with one finish coat of even baked rust inhibiting alkyd white enamel paint to manufacturer’s specifications. All doors shall be furnished with 16 gauge minimum galvanized steel frame and 20 gauge textured face sheets. The other door frames shall be bonderized and furnished with one finish coat of oven baked rust inhibiting alkyd white enamel paint to manufacturer’s specifications.

Doors shall be furnished with a cylindrical lock conforming to Federal Specification FF-H-106A, Series 160 with A U.S. 10 finish and full mortised hinges conforming to Federal Specification No. T2127 with U.S. prime finish. All doors shall be provided with an aluminum threshold and a prepainted white drip. The junction of the door frame and wall panels shall be made weather tight by the use of a trim conforming in cross section to that shown on the plans. The trim shall provide an architecturally pleasing appearance and shall be prepainted white in accordance with AISI finish specifications.

It should be noted that the Standard hardware provided by Adel Steel, Inc., shall be lever lock hardware. Other types of hardware such as panic, deadbolt, closers, etc., are available upon specific request.

SKYLITE/WALL-LITE PANELS

Fiberglass panels shall be a nominal 8 oz. Industrial grade. The panels shall have the same configuration and net coverage width as the metal panels. Panels shall meet NBS-PS 15-69. The standard color shall be “Skylight White.”

The side laps of the metal panels shall be fastened at 20" on center maximum. Side lap fasteners shall be 3/16" in diameter and have aluminum blind rivet.

VENTILATORS

FIXED VENTILATORS

Roof ventilators shall be of the fixed type with a throat diameter as shown on the plans. The use of dampers shall be optional. Ventilators shall be installed with preformed closure strips and permanently pliable mastic. Finish shall be prepainted white or shall be Galvalume.

CONTINUOUS ROOF VENTILATORS

Roof ventilators shall be of the continuous type with a throat diameter as shown on the plans. Ventilators shall consist of 10' sections. Ventilators shall be provided with dampers and bird screens. Ventilators shall be installed with preformed closure strips and permanently pliable mastic. Finish shall be prepainted white or shall be Galvalume.

LOUVERS

Fixed louvers shall be 3' x 3' with a minimum free air area of 50%. Louvers shall be furnished with 1/4" galvanized steel. Finish shall be white.

Adjustable louvers shall be 3' x 3' with a minimum free air area of 50%. Louvers shall be furnished with 1/4" galvanized mesh. Adjustable louvers shall be fabricated from 22 gauge galvanized steel. Finish shall be white.
